Automotive Electronic/Electric Device and Components E/e Mark Certification

E-Marking is a widely recognized mark in the automotive industry covering the safety requirements of automotive vehicles and their component across Europe.
E-Marking was established from the Regulation of Economic Commission of Europe (ECE). Presently the ECE is comprised of 28 European countries extending to both EU and NON-EU members across Eastern andSouthern Europe. In general ECE members will accept the test report and certificate that is in compliance with ECE regulations. All tests should be performed in the accredited test institution in ECE members.

(E mark) and 95/54/EC (e mark) respectively. The technical requirement of these two regulations are an essential identity, they both require the electromagnetic of the vehicle or the component of the vehicle to fulfill the broad and narrow band limit (1mtest distance). Moreover, the component that is relative to direct driving control should be fulfilled according to the requirement of radiated immunity.
A new e mark directive 2004/104/EC will be effective from January 2006 replacing the current directive 95/54/EC which will become obsolete in January 2009. The radiated emission requirements in the new directive is the same as 95/54/EC however the function scope is more specific and enlarged than that available for immunity requirement.
